Dr. Amir Patel
Amir is a robotics researcher with over 16 years of experience in both industry and academia. He is currently an Associate Professor in Robotics & AI in the Department of Computer Science at University College London (UCL). Prior to this, he was in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Cape Town, as well as the director of the African Robotics Unit. His research involves studying the manoeuvrability of robotic and biological systems such as the cheetah.
Dr. Jelizaveta Konstantinova
Jelizaveta is a Senior Research Team Leader in the External Collaborations group at Ocado Technology. She holds a PhD in Robotics from King’s College London, where her research focused on medical robotics, tactile perception, intelligent grasping, and soft robotics. At Ocado, she leads strategic external research projects and collaborations aimed at delivering long-term innovation for the business. She is leading three Horizon Europe projects driving advances in intelligent manipulation, sensory integration, and human-inspired robotic systems.
Dr. Fabio Tatti
Fabio is a facility manager in the Bioengineering Department at Imperial College London, where he oversees the Multilimb Virtual Evironment (MUVE), a newly established research facility designed to support research in neuroscience, rehabilitation, human-robot interaction, and much more. He is also part of the operational team at the Hamlyn Centre for Robotic Surgery, where he provides technical support and assistance to researchers working on medical technologies.
Dr. Ana Rubio Denniss
Ana is a Senior Technician working in the Engineering Makerspace to delivering design and making modules, as well as supporting robotics and electronics. She is passionate about working to make these spaces more inclusive and sustainable. Prior to joining King’s College London, Ana completed a PhD at the University of Bristol, during which she investigated light-based control of microscale robots as part of a swarm robotics lab.
